Atmana Wellness and Spa is an upcoming brand in the wellness industry, offering a range of services and products that promote holistic health and well-being. Atmana means “self” in Sanskrit, and our mission is to help our guests achieve harmony and balance in their body, mind and spirit.

The Journey towards within

Atmana is a journey of self-discovery, healing and identifying yourself. The path of positivity, relaxation and introspection. It is healing through the body, mind and soul. It highlights the essence of an individual and the existence of a human being.

 

Atmana Wellness and Spa was founded in 2021 by Arti Joshi, who had extensive experience in the fields of fitness, nutrition, and holistic wellness . Arti had a vision of creating a chain of Wellness spas that would offer more than just over the skin treatments. She also wanted to create wellness facilities which would provide holistic approach to inner healing and wellness, by integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. She also wanted to create a spot that would use natural and clean products, respecting the environment and health of the clients.

Arti finished her post graduation in nutrition and dietetics and then did another master’s in hospitality management and decided to get into the space of wellness which was very nascent at that point of time. She founded a chain of Reebok gyms over 25 years back.

She worked with big corporates like HP, Ericsson, Nestle, Technogym, Pevonia, etc., during her career, to set up various fitness and wellness facilities. She was a known face on various television channels and hosted several wellness related shows.

She also published editorials for the top newspapers, social media pages as well as digital marketing pages. Her vision was to build together highest level of luxurious hospitality along with holistic healing practices which involved sessions focusing on taking care of the mind, body, and soul.

In 2016, Arti decided to expand her horizons and envisioned, conceptualized, planned, set up and operated a luxury wellness retreat and spa hotel at Northumberland Heights in Cobourg, Ontario an 80-acre property.

In 2021, She partnered with Sigma Group, a well-established Canadian conglomerate and investor, who helped her develop a robust franchise system and strategy. Together, they launched Atmana Wellness and Spa as a Canadian Brand with the first corporate store opening in Downtown Toronto, while the second one is to open soon in Oakville, Ontario.

She is supported by her husband Nitin Joshi, who’s a seasoned hospitality professional with over 30 years of experience. Now, he is the Co-Founder and Director of Atmana.
